I met a lady today who knows a Maasai woman who can easily touch her nose with her tongue. Her tongue is long due to many years of using it for pointing at things. It is considered impolite to point at things with your finger. Words fail me.
Hmm... hard to know what to say, eh? In China, people used to point at everything with their chin. If you asked for directions, they'd give a general chin-wag. Their chins didn't get longer, though, which I'd consider an advantage over using the African tongue.
